Oh yes, in terms of not being "clear", there's two reasons.

    1. You're using a very large aperture, so there's very little depth of field
    2. The noise reduction is softening the scene details.

The former, you can't really do much about. For the latter, try shooting in RAW and using Olympus Master to process the .ORF file. Processing RAW files can be a bit of a pain in the neck and you don't often have to do it with Olympus cameras (very good JPEG engine), it's worthwhile to do in very high contrast scenes like this one.

I have seen the bracketing thing in my manual Jekostas, but haven't had time to follow up on it. I need to do that. I'll look into that Noiseware Community edition as well. I think stuff like that can only help. My biggest problem is being computer stupid and it takes me a while to figure things out. I have shot some in RAW but processing files and computer stuff in general is NOT one of my strong points. The cropping part I can do and will experiment with that. Thank you.

I was playing with my new lens today at lunch and I really think I'm going to love it! Two pics, each with subtle differences..........

OK... I got my process down a little better, so here's some more shots.

The E-620 roxxorz, especially with the 50mm macro lens. Though I could still find things to complain about if I wanted . I think that is now my most used lens, are all of these taken with it...? No, the motion blurred one is the 25 pancake with a 8 stop ND hand held in front (my most recent addition to my arsenal, and last one for a while).

This one may just be a little bit too busy to work, but I liked the idea, so here it is.

I took this at the Martinsville race Sunday (10/25/09) using my new lens. I'm really enjoying playing with them. I took approx 63 shots of Jeff's car in turn three and this is what I was after!

That's a great shot builder - good to see you enjoying the new lens.
