The first one is interesting raven, nicely balanced, nice composition. The second one... perhaps a little too much? The lattice really dominates the picture instead of showcasing the buildings behind it.

Bird on a wire! Local kingfisher, taking a break.
I really need to get me a longer lens, and perhaps a battery grip.

Just learning the ins and outs of a 70-300MM I picked up.
This one looked like it wanted to eat my soul.

Looks like the lens is working pretty well for you. I just got back to the states so I can play around with my 70-300 again .

But first, one of the last shots I took in China. It was at ISO 100 () and 1/30s with the pancake lens at f/2.8. I was aiming from the hip, no LCD or viewfinder support. The motor-tricycle taxi was bouncing like a ... ... It shouldn't have worked, but this is actually one of my favorite shots. (see if anyone else thinks so, or if even I think so in a few weeks! )

Processed with my new (and still experimental) 6x sharpening method. Twice.

It's kind of a fun shot, Raven. I think sometimes we forget that not all of photography is super-sharp, perfectly composed images, a lot of it is spur-of-the-moment photography that captures a moment.

Nice mud . Which lens was free, one of the hexanons as I recall? I seriously thought about getting one, but I like autofocus, and in the end I don't want any more stuff than I will already have, regardless of the price!

(I say "will already have" because next week I will add the E-620 and 35mm macro to my collection Hopefully followed by the 50mm macro once I finagle a good price! And then I will have all the small lenses so far in existence and I'm done.)

No, I meant I got the 70-300 for free (after a few machinations). Also an FL-20.

I think the 35MM macro will be the next on the list.
