Wow, that is some interesting light. Maybe I will investigate an HDR program like that. I tried the merge to HDR in photoshop, but it didn't work very well (or maybe I just didn't know how to do it.
Philld, that is a very nice shot. I thought the 14-42 wasn't good for macro, but I guess you sorta proved me wrong.

Thanks. Yes I'd been told it wasn't too good as well but I was pleased with what I managed to get. It took some effort though as the sun kept changing plus I got & a lot of missed shots as I was handholding it & didn't have anything to rest on.
Around every picture there's a corner & round every corner there's a picture
- the fun's in finding them

Greetings,
I finally had some time to shoot pieces I have in stock. Alien Bees and "focus gray" backdrop. I still need to clean up two of the photo's where the backdrop wasn't wide enough

Cheers, Don

Wow, that top one especially looks awesome. It does appear, however, to not be perfectly vertical.

Thanks Raven,
It's an optical illusion created by the tapering of the legs.
About the only way to eliminate it is to shoot it head on with the nearest leg directly in front of the back leg, not an especially attractive perspective.

Are you positive? I drew rectangles with irfanview, and every single leg was biased to be leaning more to the right than the left. Well whatever. I know it's like 9:30 Pacific time but here in China I've got to get up in 6.5 hours, I'll get back late night your time!

To make it mathematically correct for you I rotated it 1 1/2 degrees

Greetings,
Just happened to walk by the window and couldn't help but notice this first time visitor to the feeder
Heavy crop and "weak" noiseware

Cheers, Don
