My 50-200 arrived this morning. Still as heavy as I remember it. .

I always thought the camera/lens/hood was a bit much for hand holding, ie. weight/length so I mostly use the gimbal.

I have been doing some walking around with the 50-200. I have been using a monopod for about 50% of the shots including this one of some mountain laural.

Oh, I like the lens, but the weight is still a drag. It focuses quickly and images are great. However, it does seem to either front or rear focus, not sure which yet. I seem to remember the same thing from the one I rented. I am wondering if it is a function of the lens in combo with the E520. Definitely a reason to upgrade to a new body like the E30 or E6xx series with the ability to adjust focus on a per lens basis. I am still holding out to see what Oly announces in the Fall.
