Well, the waterfalls were actually nice to look at with good flow, but not great photo subjects. The three that I visited were 100-150 foot cascades or rock slides and tightly enclosed in vegetation. The rhododendron were just past peak. The majority are rosebay which have a slight pink tint to the edges of the petals, but when they are still in tight buds the pink is very pronounced. Between the flowers and mushrooms I spent most of my walks with the 50mm macro attached.
That's a great shot Raven I really love the perspective. Cloning out the twig immediately to the rhs of the butterfly would be all the changes I'd suggest. 7.5mm is pretty wide is that a non olympus lens? I was contemplating a 9-18mm zoom recently but missed out on the sale. I must admit looking at your shot has rekindled my thoughts of a wide angle although I'd never thought of doing macros with one.

It's the Rokinon-brand manual focus fisheye for micro 4/3. I choose that variant because of the rockin' name (vs. Bower, et al). Also, it is far smaller than the Olympus-brand fisheye for 4/3 and far cheaper than any OEM fisheye lens. I'll look into the twig. I only sent this through "standard processing" so far.
I just went for an 11-22 f2.8, should get it tomorrow. Not anywhere near as wide as your Rokinon but a definite departure from my other lenses. Fingers crossed.

The 11-22 is a great lens. I used it a lot until I got the 12-60 then it just did not seem worth the slight difference. I bought the lower end 9-18 as my really wide lens. Even thought about the monster 7-14 which I rented once. Fun lens, but a real learning curve when you get that wide and non-fisheye.
Yes kg I was looking for a 9-18 but the 11-22 came up and the f2.8 seemed quite attractive. Lens arrived yesterday but haven't been able to try it out much yet due to the weather. Clarity looks pretty good but I suspect I'll wish it was wider. First indoor shots attached not what it's intended for really.

Those do have the nice look of the 11-22, like they were taken through exceptionally clear, still water (that's what the look from the lens makes me think of). However, I am ironically thinking about selling mine, along with all my larger nicer 4/3 lenses. They're too big for my taste, I'm happy with the E-410 + 9-18 + 25 pancake + 35 macro + 40-150. Then use the money to get the E-M5. It was the 2x TC that did it. It made the 50-200 go from very large to huge, and I never seemed to get a shake free shot from it at 400mm, plus it back-focuses on my E-410, and apparently doesn't focus well period on micro 4/3. Sooo... I can sell everything but the above, and get an adapter and then some nice micro lenses as they slowly filter out.
I can sympathise with the wish to get an EM-5 it does look to be a superb camera. Might jump that way myself at some point in the future. I understand the x2 is a bit much for the 50-200, the x1.4 seems to be a better match.

Hmm, I really like my 2x+50-200 combo. In some ways it is nicer than the 50-500 Sigma. I know that it is going to Alaska again and the Sigma is staying home; just a little too big for the trip I have planned. I am renting the EC-14 as well. I keep watching for one on sale cheap, but never see the EC-14. Renting them is so cheap it is not worth buying at full price. I pay under $100 for a 3 week rental with insurance and shipping.
