I like them all raven, each one has someting different to like about it. I presume they were all with the 50-200 except the landscape which is the 11-22 ? I think I know what you mean about the 70-300. It can turn out some really great shots if the light's ok but it's not very forgiving if it's dim. You do have to take care how you shoot.
Around every picture there's a corner & round every corner there's a picture
- the fun's in finding them
Like the icile shot; nice exposure with the background not blown out. #3 looks like a unicorn.
It was almost blown out, I had to work at the exposure a bit.

Thanks. Both landscape shots are 11-22, both Rocky Mountain Bighorn shots are 50-200.

It is actually the 70-300 which I have been carrying to the office the past week trying to capture the local hawk's nest. It just happened that these irises are on the edge of a pond, hence the soft gray background.
The reason I wanted the extra 100mm of the 70-300. I don't care for the bokeh on it as much as the 50-200, but sometimes you just need reach. And my new E-5 seems up to the task even when I start to raise the ISO. I did at least bring along the monopod today.
