Phew HDRs now you guys are getting far too clever for me I still use autofix!

Just a new method of playing with light is all. Learned how to do it when I was still with P&S cameras, but it's still useful in circumstances like the one I posted.

I agree it is useful & very effective in some cases. Maybe I'll have a play with it on holiday if it doesn't rain all summer here in the UK

Got a chance to do some shooting today, went to some minor-league baseball between two A-level affiliates (white are the Athletics affiliates, red are the Diamondbacks affiliates).

First one is of a second baseman pulling off a double play, the second is of a first baseman... messing up a routine ground by going off the bag (the angle doesn't show it but he could've stretched). I guess not *all* guys here have a shot, eh?

Not straight from the camera, but when I took a small series in the San Gabriel Mountains a few weeks ago I knew I liked the graphic potential of the ridges in the hazy distance.

That's really good. I like the out of focusness and repeated pattern of the necks.

Went out for a bit today in a local garden. Planned to keep the 50mm macro on for some flower shots like the first one. But the birds, bees and butterflies switched me to the 70-300. It was a good day for yellows.

Are you getting better ? I especially like the 2nd one. Though, I have found images taken with the 70-300 often need extra "micro contrast" added to them. Alright, lets see what I can round up. I ended up taking so many pictures I stopped posting because I didn't know what to do, guess I'll need to go quality over quantity.
