A few shots from today
Here are a few shots from down by the lake.

I really like the colors
I think a CPL (maybe?) would help bring out more of the frog on the last one. At first I didn't see the body and was like what's that... OH wow cool he's got really long legs!

Sparkie,
Those were very beautiful shots. I'm loving it!
Are those color original or you used some software to enhanced it?
Can I know what lens are you using for all those shots? I was thinking of getting one too.

Here's the EXIF on the frog
Camera Make: SONY
Camera Model: DSLR-A100
Image Date: 2008:08:04 21:18:34
Flash Used: No
Focal Length: 300.0mm (35mm equivalent: 450mm)
Exposure Time: 0.013 s (1/80)
Aperture: f/8.0

Metering Mode: Center Weight
Exposure: aperture priority (semi-auto)
I'm 99.9% sure he's using the Tamron 70-300mm Di f/4-5.6 lens. It's a great lens especially considering the price!
And I'm pretty sure those are the original colors.

Thanks dr4gon. I'm currently using Sony A300 with the DT55-200mm
f/4-5.6 kit lens. Comparing the Sony 55-200 against Tamron 70-300 in term of color quality & sharpeness, do you think both of them are on par or the Tamron is much superior than Sony?
Sparkie, could you confirm the type of lens you're using? Thanks.

Tamron 70-300mm
I also use the Tamron lens above, rich full colors, I just need to use the camera settings better It is also a VERY nice lens for the price IMHO. and has been highly suggested for quality/price/function.

Thanks Dr4gon
Yes it is my Tamron 70-300. I am real happy with the lens. Those are the original colors. I did edit in PS just contrast, curves and some sharpness. I had the Quantary 70-300 and was happy with that until the AF got stripped. I was told this was a common problem with these lenses. Don recommended the Tamron an as usual with his recommendations they are right on.
Frank
P.S. Dr4gon I will try to post the EXIF on my posts.

Don't know what happened, there it was. I think I forgot to hit paste!
I love tamron lol, just got ordered my 3rd lens today and can't wait for it (90mm Di Macro F/2.8). Their 6 year warranty is great and their quality on their lenses is excellent. Some are better than others but on the average they all work well.

yeah you and sean and I (will) have similar setups.
tamron 70-300 di f/4-5.6
tamron 17-50 di-ii f/2.8
and tamron 90 di f/2.8
I think this will be the only new lens for a while. Other ones I have in mind are the Tamron 200-500mm (Don's pics were awesome!) and probably a minolta 50mm f/2.8 prime if I can find a nice cheap used one (doubtful). Those 2 should keep me set for a while (I hope)....
Other things on the "to buy list" are a tripod, head, (thinking a bogen), sony flash (the low end simple one), and a new case for my new lenses and somethign that fits my laptop.
