    This is what I call a long shaft motor

    This is the longest long shaft outboard motor I ever seen.

    Them buccaneers are ready for some mischief, I see. Five cannons on the port side ... another five on the starboard ... someone's ears are gonna be a ringin'!

    Listen as they troll-on-up and cut loose with a broadside, just when you least expect it. Hoist them sails, boys ... that's an Evinrude motor they have!

    Reminds me of the NG Taboo special the other night featuring the "Long Neck" women of the Padaung tribe (Burma/Thailand border). Pretty wild.

    It could be [part of a new attack package, close in after a few broadsides, swing the stern around, flip up the motor "hoist the evinrude!!" and cut the ropes and sail lines of the other ship........dead in the water.
