Canon XTi High ISO vs. film scans

I've produced some nice B&W results from both my digital and film cameras. I thought I'd just post a few examples. The film shots are all self-processed, and scanned with a Canon Canoscan 8800F.

    Film, Ilford Delta 3200 @ ISO 3200; Nikon N6006, 50mm f/1.8 lens at maybe f/4

    Canon XTI, ISO 1600:

    Film, Ilford HP5+ @ ISO 1600; Nikon N6006, 50mm f/1.8 lens at maybe f/4

    Film, Ilford HP5+, ISO 800; Nikon N6006, 50mm f/1.8 @f/2.8:

    Canon XTI, ISO 1600:

I always thought film just had a different "feel", but man Delta 3200, and HP5+ @ ISO 800 are darn near digital looking! That's all for now...

    Great freaking images!

I would never have guessed that #2 was digital! What was your PP on that one!?

I used channel mixer, and switched it to monochrome. I used a HP5 "adjustment" of the channels (Ilford HP5: R-23,G-37,B-40). Slight level correction and that was it. There was already a hint of noise since it was ISO 1600, and very low light.

    I really like # 1, 2 & 5; great shots. #3 looks too soft to me.

Overall, I have to admit that I like the digital images better.
