cx7330 value

I am about to buy the cx7330. I haven't looked at many options, but the 7330, for its price seems really good.

Is there maybe another camera I should have a look at (thats in the same price range) before I buy this one.

Hi Dylan - Just read the specs on the DX7330 and to answer your question it seems like a fine little camera but.....if you could afford an extra $100 I would really recommend the DX7440. More options, higher ISO capabilities and overall a better camera. I love mine, can operate it on manual and shoot like my old OM1 film camera. Can shoot inside at gatherings with the ISO at 400 without flash. And it is small enough to go in my pocket. It just seems to me to be an easier camera to operate than the 7330...but you should look at both of them. Good luck. Willard

I emphatically agree with Willard. The DX-7440 has a much better feature set and far greater capabilities than the CX-7330. For the price the 7440 does amazing things and is WELL WORTH the extra expense.

Thanx for the replies.

My question is more whether I should be looking at other brands. I did just find that the Olympus c-310z is a very similar camera. What I would really like is to see pictures by both cameras to do a direct comparison. Is there a website that actually takes pictures with the cameras they review?

Finally, my budget is rather tight. I live in South Africa and for us the 7330 costs 1500 and the 7440 is 3000+ so the gap in the uk or usa may be smaller, but here its quite a jump.

Its great to find a forum as good as this one.
