I am from Canada and wonder where to go in the U.S. to buy a tamron 17-50. In Toronto this lens is about $489 Canadian, and i think it is a bit less in the states.
Best of Both worlds:
dSLR: Sony a100 dSLR w/ kit lens (18-70mm)
Minolta Lens Collection: 28-80mm xi, 70-210mm
Point and Shoot: Sony DSC-T11

Follow this link ... it may be cheaper ... depends on the conversion rate, obviously.

Look, I did not create the optical laws of the Universe ... I simply learned to deal with them.
Remember: It is usually the GLASS, not the camera (except for moving to Full Frame), that gives you the most improvement in your photography.

Go with B & H
Or one of the other HIGHLY TRUSTED AND SUGGESTED sites. Got mine at B/H for $425.00 gpt the u.v filter with it and the soft case. also picked up the Tamron 70 - 300 a VERY good lens at a Very good price. I will be posting some Macro stuff from it tonight
Hmm, I wonder if I should have removed the uv filter for the inside shots I posted??
