D60 Review
I read the D60 review. The complaint about overly saturated images is odd, though, because it's controlled with in-camera settings. Page 102 of the manual discusses both color modes and saturation settings. So you don't even need to make adjustments on your computer to get the images as you'd like.

I haven't read a whole lot about the D60, but it seems to me it's a D40x with a few improvements. You can get a nice, used D80 for around $650 USD on craigslist these days. The D60 just doesn't seem worth the price IMHO

I agree that the D60 isn't worth much of a premium over the now-discontinued D40x. But you still can tweak the saturation settings to satisfy your own preferences. So the critism about overly saturated images is still baffling - unless all tests are just run on default settings. Sort of like the 'vivid' mode for HDTV's that will burrn out your retinas!

You can do that in the D40/x aswell. If I were in the market for a camera, I'd get a D40 (or D40x if you want the pixels), and D80, or D200. I've seen used D200's for $800-$1000. I am personally thinking about trading up to the D80 just for the autofocus capabilities and dedicated function buttons on the body as opposed to menu-accessible only functions. Just an ease-of-use thing.
