    Replacement for sony p200

    Budget

    * What budget have you allocated for buying this camera? right around $250
    Size

    * What size camera are you looking for? Or does size not matter at all to you?size doesn't really matter but i would like something easy to travel with

    Features

How many megapixels will suffice for you?+7mp

    * What optical zoom will you need? (None, Standard = 3x-4x, Ultrazoom = 10x-12x, Other - Specify) at least 4x but really want something larger

    * How important is “image quality” to you? (Rate using a scale of 1-10)8

Do you care for manual controls?i would love to have them but i know with my budget that could be hard to find

    General Usage

    * What will you generally use the camera for?snap shots of friends to nature shots. I will be traveling to Thailand and part of my assignment is to take pictures and video so i need something that will do both

    * Will you be making big prints of your photos or not?8x10 max

Will you be shooting a lot of indoor photos or low light photos?yes

Will you be shooting sports and/or action photos?maybe

    Miscellaneous

Are there particular brands you like or hate?I really like sony

Are there particular models you already have in mind?sony t200 and w150. I really like the sony n2.

(If applicable) Do you need any of the following special features? (Wide Angle, Image Stabilization, Weatherproof, Hotshoe, Rotating LCD)image stabilization is a must

I am open to other camera brands but I don't have a lot of money and don't want to have to invest in different memory sticks or anything like that ( just bought a 4gb pro duo).

    thanks

If you hunt around enough you may still find a leftover Sony H3. That will have manual controls. Here is a link to another thread that includes the H3 -
