Selling my D80+lenses...what's this worth?

I'm looking to sell the D80 and some lenses and hopefully gather enough $$$ to get myself a D300.

Here is what I'm looking to list on ebay...tell me what it would be worth. First $ after the item is what I paid for it...second number is what that item is selling for on ebay today or guestimate.

Nikon D80 - $849 / $700
Pro Digital filters - $120 / $60
18-200mm VR - $799 / $550
12-24mm - $900 / $750
Extra EN-EL3e battery - $30?
ML-13 Remote controller - $18 / $10
Tamrac 5602 black case - $49 / $30
SB-600 speedlight - $186 / $150
Stofen Omnibounce - $16 / $5
4 GIG memory cards (x3) - $90 / $30

Retail = ~$3000
I should sell today for = ~$2300 (?)

Does this sound about right for a set up like this? Camera is just over a year old and has less than 20k clicks on the shutter. Everythig in mint condition. The 12-24 has less than 100 clicks on it...barely on the camera 5 times.

Give me some feedback and let me know what you think.

I can't understand why you would be selling the lenses and SB-600.

Have you tried Craigslist rather than ebay for pricing?

You won't get that much from the D80, if you get it with a kit lens its under $700 brand new. Mine worked out to around $680 a month ago.

Selling 18-200mm with the D80 because I can get the D300 with same lens with $300 instant rebate. Selling the 12-24mm because I never use it...and rarely use the SB600. So they all head out the door in order for me to upgrade to the D300 with the 18-200mm VR kit.

Things are tight around here with $$$, so I have promised the wife that I will only do this if I can sell enough to pay for the D300.

I'd sell them all seperately, besides perhaps one lens with the camera itself.
I think you're more inclined to get a better price per item if sold seperately as not many people are out looking to spend $2k+ on camera equipment on ebay, but many more people may be out looking for a particular lens or accessory hence bidding competition will be tighter.

I hate to sound like your wife mate but is the D300 really that much better than the D80?

I thought IQ was similar in many respects. I know the screen is nice to have but overall if I had the D80 I'd keep it for another generation.

Don't take offence (I've got deep pockets and short arms as they say), it's just my opinion.

I have to agree... Nikon seem to be adopting eighteen month life-cycles for bodies, so there will always be something new whenever you are ready to buy. I certainly would not have considered buying the D300 if it hadn't been for my D50 getting stolen a couple of months ago. To take a major hit offloading perfectly good gear that is just behind the leading edge to get the "latest and greatest" is a guaranteed road to financial ruin... go out. take pictures with what you have and save up: by the time you have saved the D400 will be out, and will doubtless have features that will make all of us D300 owners drool and cry in to our beer as our "major investment" drops to "free with the cornflakes" value.

Personally I'm going to keep my baby till it's well and truly obsolete (as in film obsolete). Or I might get mine nicked too after it's insured of course

do you still have all the packaging/ box etc for the 12-24 ?

I'd wait and look at the D90 when it arrives. Then you can decide if you still need the D300.
