That dress! I wish I was there.

Not bad considering the lighting (or lack thereof).

How do you like that Sigma 30? I got rid of mine before I ever had a chance to use it on a serious project.

Man, that lighting looks really tough Adam. It seems like you had the most difficulty with the lighting during the ceremony itself. I like the 2nd and 3rd set better than the first. I wouldn't have envied you here. Your braver than I am for sure!

Its funny how I actually pay attention to wedding photogs when I attend a wedding nowadays. My wife and I recently attended a wedding which was during the day and the place had its own chapel. It was bright sunshine and the ceremony took place in front of these huge windows with the sun shining right in, so they were completely back-lit. It looked like a wedding photogs nightmare!! All of their shots were straight-on flash; I don't think they had any other choice.

i LOVED the 30. it was so awesome. focused fast and accurate. focal length seemed pretty much perfect for what i needed it to do.

as far as lighting, i forgot to explain i bought a flash bracket that same day. i kept thinking about getting a newton...and kept putting it off. well finally i bought a cheap one at a local camera shop (arlingtoncamera.com) and it was great.

that's the one i bought. wasn't sure if i liked how the flash is horizontal or not, but kinda a petty thing to complain about when you only pay $115 for it.

i wish i'd cranked up the flash more during the ceremony, but what can you do? the color differences were BAD, but that's what b&w is for right?

    Good work!

Nice to see some stuff from you!

I like the third one form the first set and the last one from the first set most. That gift shot rocks too. It is too bad about the time they chose to have the wedding eh! a few hours earlier would have been golden!
