"New" Toy idea!
Close (up) ... but no cigar, Rooz ... LOL
Another idea would be to get the SONY 50mm f/1.4 lens, for indoor stuff. It will open up a whole new world of lighting opportunity, since all you have is the 18-70mm f/3.5-5.6 for that. Once you have a chance to shoot through it, you should notice that your images are sharper ... smoother looking, side to side ... and focus is generally ... incredible. Who couldn't live with that kind of improvement?
If you don't want to spend the admission price for this new lens, you can opt for the very common Minolta 50mm f/1.7 from someone on ebay (<- click on this, as you might even find a Minolta 50mm f/1.4 on there). I just had my f/1.4 recently repaired ... and it is nearly as sharp as the SONY, now.
50mm f/1.4 comparison (<- click on this link for a simple side-by-side that I did a few months ago)

Look, I did not create the optical laws of the Universe ... I simply learned to deal with them.
Remember: It is usually the GLASS, not the camera (except for moving to Full Frame), that gives you the most improvement in your photography.
