Sigma flashes for Sony Alpha?

Any expert insights, pro or con, about Sigma flashes & Sony Alphas? Pricing and reach make them appear to be superior choices, given success with them with other makes.

Sony's proprietary hotshoe configuration prevents testing with one for other brands, so before making an order, any specific "gotchas", or specific models to favor or avoid?

if you run manual it doesn't realy matter much...i use old baur flashes on remotes..they work great..e
