Maple Leafs vs New Jersey Devils

So I asked in the general photography threads if security would bother me about a 200mm lens when their restrictions were set to 75mm and got some good opinions. so when I went to the game I kept my 18-55mm on the camera and put my other lens in a digi-cam case and threw it in my pocket. The security guard actually did check the length of the lens on the cam but not in my pocket! Needless to say. I was glad I brought it! here are the results: (all had some white balance issues resolved and some quick and dirty sharpening in picasa)

    Mr. Tucker

    Mr. Brodeur

    Mr. Sundin

This is my fave because of the timing. the ref just kinda threw the puck at the ice. Very weird!

Not bad for an ISO of 1600, focal length of 150+ and shutter speeds of around 1/90, some at 1/350.(all EXIF data is attached) C+C welcomed!

Hey, those came out pretty good. Are they at f/5.6? Did security check the physical length of the lens or the focal length?

I had the cam in shutter priority mode so it ranged from 5.6 all the way up to f11.

The security guard took my lens cap off and did look at the focal length, but I had my zoom in my pocket under my jersey (go leafs go!) and they didn't check it. I wasn't bothered during the game either!

    thanks for the compliments!

    Leafs v Ducks

I scored some great seats to the Ducks vs Leafs about a month ago so I brought along the camera. Security took out both of my lenses and measured them. They would not let me bring in anything over 6 inches in length. They let my 55-200mm kit lens through and I got some decent pics.

I was sad to say the Ducks won the game. GO KINGS

I scored great seats that night. 4 rows from the ice. I came home with a full 2 gb card that night.
