    Slim Digital camera

    Budget

    $400

    Size
    Something that fits in my pocket so i can take it anywhere with me without bother i.e. as much as you take your mobile phone/MP3 players

    Features
    Good battery life and a good ASR/IS feature

    How many megapixels will suffice for you?

    3x optical zoom minimum
    7.1mp 10+ preferably but if the camera is good then 7mp will do

    * How important is “image quality” to you? (Rate using a scale of 1-10)

    Do you care for manual controls?
    No

    General Usage

    Pretty much going out with friends, taking pics of playing sports. Much like a higher end replacement to using a camera phone phone
    The occasional video footage will be done

    * Will you be making big prints of your photos or not?
    Maybe once in a while

    Will you be shooting a lot of indoor photos or low light photos?
    No/not sure

    Will you be shooting sports and/or action photos?
    Yes

    im looking at the Sony T30 or the Samsung NV10

    Nice cameras. If this is to be a utility camera, carried at all times, then the chances it will end up damaged or lost are pretty fair. So I would be inclined to go cheaper, such as the Fuji Z10fd or Olympus Stylus 730.
