B&W vs Color
Here is a pic of my daughter when we were camping. I
took it in color but changed it to B&W. What are your guys
thoughts? I really like the B&W.

Look, I did not create the optical laws of the Universe ... I simply learned to deal with them.
Remember: It is usually the GLASS, not the camera (except for moving to Full Frame), that gives you the most improvement in your photography.

Kid shots ...
I did this one of my great-neice ... just last fall. It was obviously a candid, also, but I thought it came out remarkably nice for an ad hoc pose.
and going B&W ... I don't know ... it changes the festive mood quite a bit. You can't make out the hair-bow ... she starts to merge with the background. Tough stuff.

yes, i like the lightened up pics much better. bet this was
one of the metering mishaps on my part, again. LOL I'll get that
metering things one of these days.I was using the Multi Pattern.
Would I have been better off using spot? Looks like your
great-neice loves the cameras.

I also think I like the colored photo of your great-neice
better. Just one more thing to think about as we take photos.
