Man ... this really put it on the line ... sometimes ... I even surprise myself! I mean look at the number of views on this post ... 3700+! Wow! Aside from the POTD and the "sticky" ... this is the 17th MOST POPULAR viewed thread in the forum. Unbelievable ... and with only ten responses.

Look, I did not create the optical laws of the Universe ... I simply learned to deal with them.
Remember: It is usually the GLASS, not the camera (except for moving to Full Frame), that gives you the most improvement in your photography.

It actually had a shorter lifespan than the A100! LOL It's tough to see the children drop sooner than the parent ...

i'd say that has to do with the title. "a200 samples" wold be a pretty common google search for anyone looking to buy that camera.

The A200 and the A300 are the same camera and I don't really see the A300 lacking in terms of sharpness in image quality. Sharpness is derived from the lens used.

My 18-70 actually outperformed a Sigma 18-125 lens on vignetting and sharpness tests - so I sent that one back. The 18-70 is not a great lens, and the bokeh made stained-glass effects out of many backgrounds.. but in one case I found it worth keeping. Where is it now? Ask one of the used dealers, I dumped it + two other lenses for an 18-250
And it's sad to see the A200 go so fast.. it has a dedicated following.

Well the nice thing about the A200 being closed out, were the closeout prices
I just put up a little landscape study -
