well, you better hope that its NOT real cos that style of flip screen sucks. it needs to be on a swivel, not just flip out like that. the E3 has the screen downpat.

Look at the multi-selector button/wheel in the 3/4 view. It doesn't look to be in proper perspective. Just a small distortion in the X-axis. Also, does it really make sense to produce the A700, the A200, and put the A-300 out there all within 4 months of each other? What exactly would the A300 have to offer that the A200 doesn't have, and what exactly would you remove from the A700 to make it stand out from the A300?

Something seems too fishy to me.

PMA 08 is going to clear the air on a lot of items, I suspect. It starts on Thursday. How close is that?

I do believe there is another mid-range in the works ... priced at about $1000 ... with "Live View." But, then again, we shall see ... everybody loves surprises, I guess.

So, this is not a SLR then. If it is has a digital viewfinder, then there is no penta-prism, and no mirror, so... no SLR.

Interesting. Kind of like a big point and shoot with optional lenses and a big sensor.

I would imaging pricing to be a trough one to figure out. If you think about it, its about the size of the big super-zooms, offers all the same features, a larger sensor, but... you need to buy additional lenses to have the same focal range of the super zoom. Not to mention the speed of the lenses on the super-zooms is incredible due to their small sensors. The equivalence would be the F/2.8 telephoto zooms out there, which are not so cheap.

Do you price it like a regular DSLR body, or do you have to price it better than the super-zooms in order to compete with their focal range?
