Do all manufacturers have a warranty like Minoltas? I ordered my Dimage Z3 on Oct. 18th from Wal-Mart.com and received it on Oct. 21st. It was an awsome camera the pictures were great. But now after just 69 days of having it and not even using it every day it is broke it doesn't focus anymore. I can't return it to Walmart because they say there warranty is only 30 days and it was over that. Minolta says to send it in and they may fix it. If they can't fix it they will probably give me a refurbished one. I feel that is very bad after only 69 days I will now have a fixed camera that I bought or a refurbished one that was someone elses broken one. I think they should at least replace it with a new one since it hasen't even been 90 days, and the really scary thing is that I bought my daughter the same one for Christmas and is it going to last? Or will I be in the same boat with hers. Thats alot of money to spend on a used camera. I guess I am just blowing off steam but I do want to know how other manufacturers handle a situation like mine. I wouldn't have a problem with it being fixed if the camera was close to the end of the warranty but it is now where near it.
