this one is beautiful. i love it. one of my favourite photos from you. everything is perfect. i also really like the looking up one of the tree branches against the blue sky.

the one with the horses in the snow field with the blue sky is nice aswell although i think there's too much space up top. i'd be more inclined to have aimed the camera to pick up more of the foreground which seems more inetresting and fits the subject of frost/ snow more than a blank sky.

i like the concept of the others but they are a bit murky. what are you doing out in that frost ?

Smile These are one of your best landscapes!

Wow! Lovely photos ... all of them!

    My favorites are:

#2 Tokina 12-24mm f4, @15mm, f7.1, ISO 200 and 1/500th sec....I love the composition and desaturated look of this one...

#4 Tokina 12-24mm f4 @ 20mm, f10, ISO 100 and 1/100th sec.... This is just superb! I think that the huge sky in this pic works to give a relative sense of size to the foreground. Also the rich blue contrasts well with the light foreground.

    #5 Tokina 12-24mm f4 @ 24mm, f10, 1/250th sec, ISO 200.... I like this too coz its got a very abstract feel to it!

Enjoy the winter & Merry Christmas!

Lots of different comments from different posters!
Rooz, what you call "murky" is actaully either some remaining low fog (1st two photos), or ice cristals falling from the branches because of the sun warming them (the two road photos with the arching trees).

As with Viky, I do like the vast blue sky above the horses in the field. More foreground would be very uninteresting, there just was nothing interesting... just the field , the horses and the tree line. More foreground would have been very distracting (and made a totally different and in my opinion very uninteresting photo).

Obviously I do like the photos I posted (else I probably would not post them ) and it is nice to see that different people appeciate different photos and different aspects of them. Thanks for all the compliments!

Especially for Rooz and TenD (who likes wider landscape shots):

Yeah that's what I meant by taking advantage of some unique weather conditions. It looks like infrared photography. Awesome!

That's an amazing shot. I love the composition and it's just great to look at. Feels like you're actually there.

Awesome shots, Coldy. The one with the Tokina looking up and the second picture are simply amazing. Good Job.
