how about those rechargeable CR-V3 batteries?

I've been seeing a lot of kits on eBay recently which include 2 CR-V3 batteries and a home/car charger for about $17: http://cgi.ebay.com/2-NEW-Lithium-Io...QQcmdZViewItem

They all seem to include the same model of 1600 mAh lithium-ion CR-V3 battery. How are these? How do they compare to using a set of two good NiMH AA batteries? How do they compare to non-rechargeable CR-V3 lithium batteries?

My parents and sister both have cameras that can use CR-V3 batteries in place of AAs, and I've been unable to convince them to stop using wasteful and inefficient alkaline batteries... Rechargeable CR-V3s might be better if they're effective.
