    Charging over USB?

Which cameras, specifically compacts, have this feature?

So far I've only found certain Kodak models (M753/M853/M873/M883 & V1233/V1253) and the Samsung NV series that support this. But none of those use AA's, which is something else I'd really like. It's really handy when you're out and about and you run out of battery to just pick up some AA's. That's pretty important to me as well.

I just don't want to worry about bringing a charger with me when I travel. I always have my laptop with me and it has a charger. I charge my cellphone by just plugging in it's USB cable, why can't I do the same with my camera?

It's also hard to find out if a given camera supports this. It's not one of the items normally listed in the charts, and it may or may not be mentioned in a review.

I don't mind if it's recharge time is slow, I generally sleep part of the time.

I don't believe you'll find any camera that takes AA's AND charges via usb.
