There are only 2 things I don't like about this one.

Theres that huge reflection on his forehead and possibly bring the f/stop up a little because its a bit too soft

Great composition, Great reflection in the glasses, Great background.

I don't really mind the hot-spot on the forehead, it seems natural.

But it seems too soft, and that takes away from the shot in this case (IMO).

Xailo, if I may ask you who is this? The guy looks damn serious as if he is saying: dude, one more photo of me and I'll beat the sh*t out of you.

i agree, the PP makes it a bit too soft. (well it looks like you did it in PP as opposed to in cam). have you thought of converting it to mono ?

    X,

Give back some of the sharpness, go mono, and maybe some sort of black border and youve got yourself a winner.

Thanks guys softness I can back off with no problem. Gintaras, no he was not mad at me... I made it soft because we were in the afternoon sun and as you can see in the original he was squinting pretty badly. I wanted to see if anyone would pick up on those facecial edits something that I need to work on.

I posted the original in my initial post for comparison.

Drama, the blur effect makes the sunglasses into the main subject. You didn't blur the glasses, right? Now the sunglasses are the "star" I agree with the others that less blur effect would probably be better. The removal of the skin creases above the nose, at eyebrow level, looks natural at first, but it's hard to judge his expression. After looking at the original, the Shopped version looks a little weird and Botox-y.

I like the crop, and I think you're on the right track with the softer colors/lighting.

Xailo, I like the other guy in the picture, although I would crop the picture at that end some. It gives perspective, to me. I also like the squinting. I was thinking it was a game, and he was a coach on the side line or something like that. I really like the reflection in the sunglasses. I go for things like that though.

Guess I differ from everyone. (I didn't think you should play with the original picture too much.
