Cameras in action
I like taking pictures of people taking pictures...so I'm starting this thread.
Camera? Cell phone? Oh, pretty flower...

So much for viewfinders...

She has good technique.

Canon man at sunset...

A cold wet day at the beach.

Stabilization could be handy here...

Must be an art student with that angle...

All that, with a reversed hood and Hoya filter?

The young girl seems to be "spot finding" with the Lumix.

Here's a photo I took today--one person is using a video camera and the person running is a media photographer trying to get out of the way. In a way, I guess that's two photographers in one shot. Bonus points?

I like "A cold wet day at the beach".
Reminds me of the classic Ensign folding cameras with the viewing hood on, which was used to take our class picture back when I was still in primary school.

Well, 1/2 credit for "photographer" in action. Had she held the camera out to break to force of impact, that would get "double" points.

She was too busy trying to get out of the way and still try to hold on to the camera--I have other photos of the same incident since I was shooting in continuous mode. At least she wasn't hurt though the next time around, she didn't get so close and/or appear to put herself in that same type of situation.

This tourist is at Olvera Street in Los Angeles, a Mexican-themed collection of shops and restaurants.

Here is a collection of photographers at Grauman's Chinese Theater in Hollywood. It is famous not only for the architecture, but for the handprints and footprints in cement of movie stars.

"Elmo" turns the tables on the tourists. Normally you have to give a dollar to the character for a photo of them.

I guess film is still alive.

Interesting technique.

Not sure what to say :-)

Don't recognize this unit.

A "two-fer" in front of the Marilyn Monroe wishing well.

I over-flowed into another post, sorry. Still at Grauman's Chinese Theater.

A Storm Trooper is shooting a "documentary" of tourists.

Phone-cams are popular with kids.

The "peace sign" is popular with a lot of people.

Here we have a phone-cam AND a peace sign.

Looks like another phone-cam. I don't think I can squat like that anymore...

We are at the Getty Center to wait for sunset.

Shooting the sunset at the Getty Center.

Shooting toward downtown Los Angeles from the Getty Center.
