    I have avoided taking photos of "perfect" fungi in some cases as they look boring. I think having the chunks taken make them interesting again.

    A lot of good colours; we only seem to get boring brown ones here and even when there are chunks out there is not the white contrast you have.

    Thanks kgosden although I am still not 100% happy with the top of the mushroom. It is a lot better than my previous attempts; thanks to some coments on the forum.

    Looks like something from another planet.

    Might be a Bleeding Tooth fungus (Hydnellum pecki) according to some websites via my mate Google.

    Ah, I did not notice the red coloration at the ends of the gooey looking stuff. I just know it is not something I want to step on with bare feet!
