so my friend got this car and wanted some pictures. it's been a LOOOOOONG time since i've took some pictures. since i posted that picture of the moon and clouds. so i thought what the hell.
a little bit of flash trickery and a long shutter. lemme know what y'all think.
30d and 24-70 f/2.8L and 580ex off camera and not synced....24mm ISO 100 f/5.0 10sec
why f/5 and not f/8 or f/11...and the answer is...just because.

ok i went ahead and uploaded it to dcresource. if you're at work or have parental filters going then it might be blocked. my site's kinda adult-ish.

So you painted with the flash - and then let the amibient settle in for 10 seconds with a little shake. I think it's cool - esp. since it's done all in-camera.

You sure? I thought it was just adam's semi-fried sensor.
peter definitely got it right. 10 second exposure. hand held 580ex fired by pushing the pilot button. then twisted it left and right on the tripod til the shutter closed.
and yea, all in camera. besides WB and contrast adjustments.
and peter, i painted it in a few others with 3 bursts of flash. but had to leave it still for those. and they were nothin special either.

Adam - great shot there. Very creative. As for the car, I really don't know what Lotus was thinking. I see a lot of elise (and exige) in my area and they look interesting but they'll never become classics. I really expected more from Lotus. The 911 can still rest easy.
