New Casio ultrazoom coming - fastest camera

Casio is developing a 12x superzoom with 60fps burst and 300fps video. Has a 1/1.8" sensor and weighs in at a hefty 650g. Sounds like a good competitor for the Fuji S6000 and Pan FZ50.

oooh, I can't wait! I'm so not happy with my Fuji s6000, but I love, LOVE, my casio z750! I'm desperate for a faster version with more zoom.

If this camera uses AA batteries and makes it easy to attach filters and converter lenses, it may be my next camera. It looks like a 62mm lens, and it's internally threaded, so that's pretty much grants one of my wishes. It'd be nice if it had a movable lcd and a hotshoe, but I can do without, especially for 300 fps.

It's almost December and no sign of this camera. Sorry for the false alarm.

Those are some sweet specs. Let's see how it performs in real life, but it certainly raises the bar.

That's a Gig or so of memory in 10 seconds, yikes! Time to buy more memory.

That thing's gotta have a hell of a buffer on it. I can't see what that kind of speed is useful for personally. I'm sure someone will make use of it though.

I shoot skiers in action, I could definitely use that speed.
