Red face Farewell to a good friend

It is with some regret that I bid farewell to my EOS 20D. It goes to another home for future use and appreciation, while I concentrate on more important matters.

So strike it from my -Gear List-

The EOS 40D did not measure up, the Nikon line is an investment I simply will not make, so SONY A700 gets the well-deserved nod, as it should.

I suppose I knew it would eventually come to this ... once again, two years later, orphaned equipment.

And ANDY: No calling me ... Mr. SONY! LOL

Look, I did not create the optical laws of the Universe ... I simply learned to deal with them.
Remember: It is usually the GLASS, not the camera (except for moving to Full Frame), that gives you the most improvement in your photography.

Don- Are you selling off all your Canon mount glass? I know someone who might be interested in your 17-50.

    The Grand Experiment. ...

So; you awaiting the 5D replacement? If not; that lens collection will do nothing but depreciate. Best to offload before the XMAS sales are announced. Hate to rush along that "seller's remorse", but you've got quite a pile of glass there.

You better sell off that 70-200 f2.8 IS you have there then.

Because that lens WILL get upgraded to version II in future, with the optical improvements that brings about that we have seen in the 16-35 f2.8 II and the 70-200 f4 L IS USM, and then yours will bring in less money...

And that 70-200 f2.8 from Sony costs more than that 70-200 f2.8 IS or Nikon 70-200 f2.8 VR. So... unless you found yourself not using the 70-200 f2.8 much, go get yourself that Minolta/Sony 70-200. It is a good lens, just a bit very WHITE.

Don has finally given up the archaic 20D!

Hooray for progress, and... well, Sony.
