    Does anyone have any suggestions / tips for taking photos for this? I'm hoping to get a good batch with my S5, but I'm still a novice user.

    Correction - "Early Tuesday morning, August 28th"

    Thanks for the heads up. I'm on the East coast so sunrise is going to mess up my shots but I'll still give a try.

    It should be an interesting sunrise, I hope the moon stays visible long enough. Now getting up at 5:30 AM...

    Woops! Thanks for the correction.

    I guess I should be grateful I'm on the West Coast. So long as it's not cloudy, the view should be beautiful :}

    And it just so happens that tomorrow (the 28th) is my birthday. Is that some sort of sign?

    That's a bit too late for me. 3 AM's been the normal for a while.

    So I've taken pics of crescent moons before that turned out pretty good, but never an eclipse. Does anyone have any tips?
