doing it for your mates is fine, keep it as a hobby. but why dont you submit some of your shots to an auto mag for some cash ?? seriously, they are that good.

I can share general photo techniques, but I'm really not into the whole "trying to copy a look" thing. Why not try and create your own look? Imitating others is something I don't understand.
Experiment and come up with your own stuff, that's my best advice.

They're not even mates, just random people from various forums I might try and make some cash off my hobby some time, but for now I'm just trying to build up a reputation.
So far, my biggest claim to fame is that one of the hosts on mtv norway wanted me to shoot some pictures of him 'cause he wasn't happy with what the professional photographers he'd paid had done for him. But I'm *REALLY* not into photographing guys, at all. That doesn't feel comfortable
A car dealership contacted me this weekend, wanting some pictures of some hot cars they've got (porsches mainly). They want some big prints they can hang in their store, which is cool. I'm trying to sort out the details on that this week.
So there's some small stuff happening.. Hopefully there'll be more small stuff, leading up to bigger stuff etc etc Turning it into a profession is something I feel is just a dream that'll never happen, but one can always hope.

No imitation....inspiration....I'm going to do similar techniques but different execution. Hopefully I'll be able to do it soon and show it to you....

The technique of shooting multiple exposures is used by a lot of people. There's really nothing special about it. It just covers the need to expose 2 or more differently lit subjects in the same scene/frame.
