Hehe, thank you. Just based off a few images, the image quality seems perfectly fine. Only small niggle with IQ so far is that there's really not a lot that can be recovered from blown highlights, but then again - there's lots of shadow detail that can be pulled out of the image.

Who ever said you kit lenses are rubbish? That's a cracker of a shot!
Mind sharing your PP technique on that one with us?

Hey Anco85, sorry for the late reply. I rearly use the camera anymore so I'm not so active in the forums anymore either.. The kit lens is perfectly fine, as long as you don't need a shallow DOF. People who are new to photography who buys a new "high quality" lens before even testing the kit lens is, in a lot of cases, wasting their money. And how I do my PP work is something I'll take to the grave
A small miracle happened today: it isn't raining. This summer has been the most crap-tastic in ages (supported by official statistics, so it's not just me beeing overly negative either ). So I grabbed the d700 + 24-70 and snapped a shot of my bmw. Yes, I should have used the d5100, but as long as I still have the d700.......
