I everything about that last shot except it's a bit flat to me.

I would think that Dread Pirate finds the contrast a little lacking in some portion. To me it has a little too much green cast from the foliage. But I feel that the midtones lack pop. A quick poke in PS seems like using curves to pull down the brightness in the midtones adds some depth.
Tough call as doing this keeps her nose a bit too bright, but I bet that is fixed in PS with just a little more work. Did you use any fill lighting? Probably would have benefited from a reflector, but that said I ain't a portrait kind of photographer.
Ah, well if that's the case it is edited to look like it does. I'm using a hardware calibrated eizo coloredge screen, so it's no accident I usually don't add a lot of contrast, and I try my best not to care about correct whites/blacks and skin tones etc - and rather just do what I personally like (which is, most of the time, not "the correct" thing) If you look back at the first picture I took with the 70-200, when she's facing the wall, that picture and this picture started out looking exactly the same. I just thought this one looked better the way I did it. But I'm a bit weird
Yep Kgosden was right it's the contrast on my much cheaper screen that I find lacking, like it's been washed over with a white haze is the best way of explaining my thoughts.
As you correctly point out, you're the artist so as long as you like your choices is what counts.

The contrast is very low, even on my lovely eizo There are no pure blacks in the picture. Thanks for explaining. I wasn't trying to brush of any critizism or anything, I just didn't understand what you ment and just wanted to know Thank you for the feedback!
