FZ20 with a dead CCD
Hello,
I have a Panasonic Lumix FZ20 with a dead CCD. Does anyone know where I could buy a replacement CCD and if such a replacement procedure would be possible? I have opened up the camera to see if the problem is something like a loose connection, but it's not. Happily, the camera performed exactly the same when I re-assembled it (ie. it was no worse - everything works fine except it only takes entirely black pictures!).
I recall reading somewhere that a new CCD needs calibration to tell the image processor where any dead CCD pixels are. Anyone know about this?
Alternatively, does anyone have a broken FZ20 (eg. everything destroyed except the CCD!) they want to get rid of?
Many thanks,
Paul

Now that process would be way over my head ...but here is a FZ10 service manual.
The FZ10 and 20 should share most parts.

There's an FZ20 service manual here last time I checked.
