LA times ten! Have you ever heard the song "On A Clear Day You Can See Forever"? Well, in Beijing, on a clear day you can see your forearm! Ba-dum!

LOL, yes I live in Jersey City. Is it just really thick air or because of air pollution? I'm guessing factories?

JTL - I just went back and erased my comment about your photo when I mentioned the haze. I felt bad that everyone thinks I was criticizing your shot when infact I was just commenting on Beijing itself because you asked me if it looked familiar. It is a great shot. So again sorry if it came out the wrong way!

Flipmarc - There are no regulations on factories, cars, motorcycles or anything for that matter. There is no effort to A, stop the pollution and B, clean up what is already there. Unfortunately the 2 major players in the output of pollution are also the 2 that are doing the least to counter act the problem. China and The US, but to be fair there are a lot of individual efforts in America which are playing a major role in the clean up of pollution and greenhouse gases.

    Sorry for the rant everyone.

@avi777: Nice try but the picture doesn't do it for me (is this correct English). Il like your composition, but the blurred cows in the front are disturbing. In my opinion the photo would be stronger when ór everything would be sharp, ór only the middle cow(s) and the other cows and the Mazda-van would be blurred. Now the point of focus combined with the DoF makes the picture look a bit unbalanced to me.
