Drama--here's the original color version. I straightened and cropped a tiny bit, did some slight noise reduction and sharpening, and added a bit of contrast with curves. I'm not sure which version I like better. I think I like them each for different reasons. Your opinion?
Adam, first of all I want to say that I love this shot. Great job. I prefer the colour one as well, but that being said, I can definitely see the B&W version hung on a wall somewhere. So.....tough choice really. Both options being great is a better situation than neither don't you think

Here's one from my living room balchony. I think I've posted this scene before but taken at a different time of day. Anyway, this was the day the clouds parted, ending 2 weeks straight of solid rain. It is raining again but at least I got this shot off.

    Great work Canonites

Wow, Nick, just lovely colors there. Well done.

Zmikers, thanks for the compliments. I think I'll print the color one myself and maybe get the B&W done on mpix.com's metallic paper.

Here's some history behind my picture..

Inside mausoleum of Chapman H. Hymans. Two windows of blue glass, like that in the mausoleum of Queen Louise of Prussia, cast a soft light on a beautiful marble statue of "Grief," executed in Carara, Italy, from the model of an American sculptor. Located in Metairie Cemetery, New Orleans, Louisiana. (Gandolfo, p.39)

    from Wikipedia
Angel of Grief is a 1894 sculpture by William Wetmore Story which serves as the grave stone of the artist and his wife at the Protestant Cemetery, Rome.

    more info if you're interested

toriaj , The weather today was very overcast and rainy, so that's all the lighting I had. It was all natural and I think if I can get there when it's a nice sunset, the lighting would be perfect.

    Here's another one from today

Thanks for the info, Kevin. I really like that version on the Nightwish album. If you ever go there at sunset, I'd love to see your results. And I love the shot above also. What a beautiful, ancient-feeling place.

    Nick, thanks, very beautiful.

I have to say I think that's an awesome picture...the subject is a little creepy but nicely done none-the-less...lol.
