Even in PS, it'd be pretty tricky since its all pretty much neutral grey.

The photo definitely needs a punch in the contrast, and some selective tweaking. Theres also a snowflake on the lens element killing one of the main trees, personally, i don't see the end-picture being worth the effort, but your end-vision is probably different then mine so thats up to you

No idea what elements can do... but photoshop could get it done, and probably LR too.

I don't disagree that the end picture is probably not going to be print worthy. My wife was at cooking club and my girls were asleep last night so I was playing with this shot to see what I could teach myself in elements. I did do a version with layers, where I converted in RAW a version of this shot to expose for the snow, learned how to add it as a new layer in elements and used the eraser tool and played with opacity levels. Not great but I did learn something, so not time completely wasted.

    Thanks for looking

Eh, might be one in there. Hope you don't mind. I'll remove it if you want.

Cloned out the snow flake - this was quick due to the size of image.
Added a curves adjustment layer and masked the sky.
    Ran thru Topaz Detail.
    Cropped a little different.
