My daughter turned 1 on December 29 so we did some portraits on New Years Day. I really liked the DOF on this one, and a cool gesture from her.

First Post
Hi Everyone.
I've lurked, sponged knowledge and thoroughly enjoyed these forumns for years now. This thread in particular is always a source of inspiration.
This is my first real post. Here is a photo of my bearded dragon.
C&C welcome.

I love the lighting and reflections!
Would you be able to post a shot of the setup ?
My only suggestion is that the WB seems a bit blue to me.

Here is a very quick and dirty snap of the setup. I do not have enough space to capture the location of the camera, but imagine it being about 8' away from the black surface in the photo. Basically, 2 Vivitar 285's triggerd by Cactus triggers, and my faithful 70-200.

The black material is Alumalite. It's a material used for outdoor signs. The reflection it produces is more dull than a mirror, but I like the effect it gives.
Regarding the WB... I am visually impaired (legally blind, whatever the PC term of the week is...). I perceive no color, due to a condition called rod monochromatism - everything is black & white. As a result, color correction is an absolute impossibility for me to improve on my own. I'm going to take a wild stab here and guess that the blue cast is due to the sofa cover in the background? Thanks for the heads up. Next time, I'll set up a black backdrop behind the alumalite to block that sort of thing.
Thank you for your comments and feedback - much appreciated!
