Wonderful atmosphere in the first one. Did you use any post processing?

Thanks. Typical PP, magic morning light courtesy of mother nature!!

Shot RAW, corrected WB, minimal sharpening, converted to jpeg and then cropped out about 20% of the bottom of the image.

Michael--those are both beautiful. Great color and exposure in the leaves. I love the atmosphere of the first.

Lots of experienced & talented people here
Thanks for the detailed comments. The sun was just outside of the frame so there a couple of small blown highlights on 1 or 2 of the small clouds in that area. I could reprocess the RAW file and bring them inline and do a merge.

I've found that usually there are some that'll comment regardless. I just wanted to contribute one to this thread, altho detailed comments are always good to hear. A year or so ago I tried to get a Critique forum here so there'd be a specific place to post a shot and get detailed comments, but Jeff never put it in play. Besides, didn't want to hijack this thread.

    Thanks again.

Thank you and couldn't agree more on the 10-22. It spends a lot of time on my 20D. An L lens without the designation!

Great color and use of DOF on the leaves shot.

Thanks Tim, I'm glad you like it. No filters used or owned. I adjusted a couple of colors saturation & luminance values in ACR when I converted the RAW file. In fact, most of the post was done in ACR. I'm really starting to love Bridge CS3 and ACR. The only thing I did in Photoshop CS3 was cloned a lens flare on the fence and did a selective curves adjustment on the first tree to lift the shadows a bit. Of course, sharpened and resized.

    Thanks again.

    Andrew's Jack-o-Lantern

My son carved his first pumpkin this year, so we had to give it a special photo treatment. This shot was a 10s exposure, and painted with flash, 2 bursts, from behind left and right. It look a few tries to get it right.

My daughter and I did a swamp study this past weekend. She is only 5, but she loves to come along with me to help. She carried the umbrellas, and I had every thing else! There are a few more shots on flickr, but these two were my favourites.

She loves to have her photo taken...
