Got a new wireless remote yesterday from the hubby Who knew taking my SPs could be so easy now that I can do it without the self timer. Before I had to place a pillow in the shot to lock the focus then run in the shot....not anymore

    The road home...
24-105...(58mm, 0.5s, hand-held - It amazes me that some people think IS is a gimmick)...

Just got a 50mm f/1.8 for a killer deal --while waiting for the Sigma 50mm f/1.4-- so I did an impromptu shoot with my wife on the side of the house.
    LOL, no studio here.

I'm a bit embarrassed to post this after Drama's wonderful macros. It's been the first bug to stay still enough to let me get close with the 60mm. Even so its hard to get the focus right, how do you do it?

That was 1:1 by the way. This second one is more in my comfort zone, it's amazing how much easier it is to take good photos with the 'L' lens!
