Hmmm well here is my shot:
it is my first picture with my XSi so I was experimenting and I thought it was a neat shot. Its a picture of the Comcast Skyscraper in Philadelphia. I like this picture the most from that day because it has the older shorter skyscrapers with wonderful stonework and then a new almost sterile looking skyscraper dominating them kinda like a deathstar hmmmm....

Taken with the kit 18-55mm IS lens at 28mm and f/22

    Anyways enjoy:

stabile007...why f22.....??? Also the building is darker than I like...

civster....too tightly cropped IMO....some more sand and beach in the shot would have been nice...

Another shot of my cat with the nifty fifty....

Faisal-Actually the picture did come out brighter then that I was just playing with photoshop and ACR a bit since it was my first picture in RAW ever so that's why it is dark. I used f/22 because of the lighting was just overwhelming the picture way too much.

    Thanks....

Love the the last Hawk shot.....just stunning!!!!

I tried a night panorama....hand held....basically had the 50mm f1.8 and was too lazy to mount the 18-200...Took about 16 pictures to create a panorama but ended up using just 8 of them...WB is messed up and so is the stitching (done by the Canon software)....not too sure about the two flares...if I should PP them off....C&C welcome....

Love it. I've never tried to do panoramas for nightshots. Is it much harder?

What were you're other settings....I don't think using f22 is a good idea...it leads to the image becoming soft if I'm right....I'm sure a shutter speed of 1/4000 and an aperture of 10 would be sufficient cause I know a lot about the sun overwhelming the picture with light (I live in a desert country)....as I said, I'm curious about the other settings....

Also doing a panorama of that scene would be nice to show the whole building while not using the wide end of the lens to avoid the distortion....

Well night shots are not difficult if you've got a tripod and the subject you're shooting is not moving....as in the case of any type of panoramas, you need to avoid a lens with distortion and do not use AWB cause you might end up with pictures with different WB but shooting RAW should fix that....

I managed to take this hand held cause the main subject (the floodlights) are well lit to allow me to do so....so its not that difficult, just stitching them up is a little difficult sometimes.....
