As '01514' puts it, wonder where I get some of those Jedi skills....
I edit the image to how I "see" it, like I feel that cameras usually capture a "emotionless" version and I'm not a fan of in-camera colour/contrast settings, I leave everything on default except sharpness which is +5 and saturation on -1

    super thank you to all

LMAO That's pretty funny and usually true. But I have to admit, my GF is pretty honest. I've posted photos here before that everyone liked and she hated.....and yes she told me she hated them. She is not afraid to tell me what she thinks, that's why I was curious about the last one. I agree, going in the bin

That's often the way goes, but unless your being payed for your photos all that really matters is that you like them.

Some of my favorite photos have received lackluster reviews on forums like this.

This photo is an exampe of this; its one of my favorite photos, but most people aren't very fond of it, including my wife. ....

    Not when it's your GF.

I think this is a stronger image than the one you posted here michael. I like the muted soft feel of desolation here. The second road with snow shot loses feeling to me, it's just a shot of a country road with some trees.

    Amble like the wind...

I was at my friend Jean's the other day, letting Seamus "run like the wind" in her large field. I had taken him for a long walk earlier that day, so he didn't run too much. Mainly ambled around.
He's such a lazy bum. He was sleeping at home all day today, soon after I got home I put him in the car for a walk at Woodland Park. We walked about 4 miles, stopped and visited with a friend while she was canning peachers. Her dog eats the same food as Seamus, so I fed him there.

We got home about 7:15, I had him wait at the landing while I went upstairs. I called him up, he ran right in front of my bedroom door and waited until I opened it so he could go in his crate.

I didn't think he'd eaten enough at my friends house, so I got him out of his crate and fed him another cup of food. He wasn't at all interested in kibble just plain, so I put some organic low fat chicken broth on it, that made it nummy for him.:-)

He ate it all, then went back to my door to wait so he could go into his crate. That's where he is now.

    Hello,

New to forum, just acquired my Canon Xsi yesterday and still very new to the whole world of SLR photography. In the stages of just playing with the camera I took a few pics of roses I bought for my wife and would like to know what you guys think.

    Thanks for looking!
