SB-28 is a Nikon flash. With cybersync, I don't need expensive newer model canon flashes. I just use the cheaper older Nikon flashes in manual mode.

I guess the 50mm isn't so bad, but it was dark in there!

I've done some other hikes and climbs in Glacier that practically dwarf those.

South Loop Chicago, 11-shot panorama, no HDR. I recommend viewing at 1920px. Hoping to get a complete pano next time.. it's tough to visualize what all shots you need to get a full shot. Of interesting note, the white house towards the center of the picture is the Clarke House, which is regarded as the oldest surviving building in Chicago.

Nicely done; beautiful shot. The only thing I don't like is the dark left lower corner.

Spotted this on a hike yesterday...I just like the dramatic colors of the rusting bridge as a frame for the web....

    Playing in the wind

    Hello guys,

I bought an EOS1000D a couple of days ago, and i've been trying all kinds of things since. Yesterday was a pretty windy day here, and gulls were all over the place playing in the wind. I took my camera, put my 75-300mm on it, and started shooting. I tried several things, like AF servo, aperture priority and full manual. This shot is the one I liked best. It's resized, cropped a little bit, and sharpened a tad in photoshop.

    300mm, 1/1000 shutter, F5.6, iso 200

Tell me what you think. I've had some experience with UZ compact camera's, but this is my first DSLR, and i'm still learning a LOT.. especially watching this thread.

    Regards,
    Martijn
