    Droop, mate, thanks a lot, Mims arrived safely and went immediately to print on A4, this is really one of those images i want hang on the wall so that i can see it everyday

    i wonder how you spotted them? life is full of such nice situations but usually we have no time leaving them unnoticed.

    We were just passing by and they were using film... we asked if we could shoot them and they could have the JPG/DNG as long as we could keep the photos.

    hey, digging various folders on my PC found a few pix from 2007 Genesis' Turn It On Again tour, pity i did not have a good telephoto that time so used my Sigma 17-70. here go two heavily cropped images. that was GREAT SHOW!

    To be honest this photo looks a little dull for the 70-200 to me.

    What "picture style" settings are you using? Are you shooting jpeg or RAW? Looks like it could use a little increase in contrast and possibly saturation. It should look sharper coming out of that lens.

    iso100, f11, 68s.

    The foreground is lit by street light, and the underside and front face of the bridge has been painted with flash.

    White balance was the problem with this. Street lights are very orange, flash is very white, so I had a mess. I flashed the underside of the bridge, which was easy to blend, but the mistake was flashing the face of the bridge. The front of the bricks was orange from the streetlight, and the crevices between the bricks were blue/white from the flash. I fixed it the best I could... I'll be more careful next time.
