Having read the last couple of pages by now, I have to admit that I missed out on some great shots (e.g. michaelb's line of trees among others).
Canon 60D with EF-S 17-55 IS USM lens kit etc.

cheers
it's more of a faux HDR.
didn't actually take three differently exposed shots, instead just one RAW and then saved 3 different images etc

Nism, the HDR effect in the first one is too strong for my taste (especially the halo around the building on the left) but I LOVE the 2nd one. That's one to print at 14x21, mat, frame with a 3" frame, and hang it on your wall!!

If you don't mind my asking, what software do you use for your "HDR"?

Here's why I don't shoot my Sigma 18-200 OS that much...
Beautiful, colorful late afternoon Spring scene...yet rendered fairly flat and lifeless with low-contrast and no depth or "pop" by the Sigma. I have no doubt that I would have been much happier with the same scene shot with my 24-105 L IS. But, I've been shooting the Sigma exclusively for the last week or so trying to convince myself to bring just one lens with me on my next trip to Europe...but...alas...I'm not convinced! It's back to the party snapshots for the Sigma! And back to two lenses in tow for my standard rig.

f/10, 1/160, ISO 100, 35mm FL
