Yea, you may be right Rooz. It seems to depend on the shot; some shots that I've taken with the 50 on the 5D have wonderful creamy bokeh and others seem a bit harsh, even at the same aperature. Better glass!?; the wife is at the edge of killing me already!!
Stephen; great mood in that one.

Alright here we go.....
Here is the first post from my 40D. I went to the neighbourhood park and played around with the playground equipment, got some interesting colorful shots. But this one I liked. I found the swing set interesting because it was so baren...no children, simply swings swaying in the wind.

The camera was set to Av mode
Exposure: 0.002 sec (1/500)
Aperture: f/5
Focal Length: 81 mm
ISO Speed: 100

Congrats on your 40D!! Some of my first shots were at the playground, too. New camera, so excited, no time to go much of anywhere ... except to the park!

i think the reduced image circle of aps-c has spoilt alot of us to be honest. we were gettign qulality out of say, the 50mm f1.8 for example, that was mindblowing for the cost. but stick it on a FF sensor and a few more flaws start to get exposed. canon guys are much more experienced with this given the length of time FF has been around on the canon format, but guys that have only ever shot with aps-c nikon dslr's are coming to grips with some of their lens' not being quite as good as what they thought once the lens' extremities are pushed hard using FF.

Its interesting; I've also heard some people say that their lenses (such as the 50 1.8) seem to perform better on FF!! To be honest, I haven't decided which format I prefer.
Danidabi - enjoy the 40D! - its a fantastic camera.

Faisal - cool scene with a tricky exposure.
JTL - I love that one - what is it exactly?
